Who Is Master Fatman?
He was a Danish-born man of many gifts and occupations. Born as Morten Lindberg on September 23, 1965, he later adopted the moniker Master Fatman which resonates with his profession and lifestyle. Though he first got the moniker in 1987 following his attempt to incarnate Liberace, an American pianist, and actor, it stuck with him throughout his lifetime.
Lindberg’s childhood was spent with his antique bookstore dealer father and his mother.

Lindberg is remembered for many roles he took in his career. He first became established as a stage performer before shifting roles across time. Outside of his stage roles, Lindberg’s alias Master Fatman was also a writer, musician, food enthusiast, comic artist, and politician.
As an entertainer, his career shot to the limelight in the 1990s following his acting, producing, and directing roles. His renowned 1993 film The Gayniggers from Outer Space garnered the status of being a cult. While his movie roles remained widely unknown, his musical career was not as famous either. However, he is known to have sung in bands like Master Fatman and his freedom fighters among others.
Interestingly, Fatman’s celebrity status included his diet choices. Known for his vegetarian lifestyle, Fatman build a career around food which included doing TV shows on the subject matter. He reportedly became a vegetarian from his early 20s and maintained the lifestyle for the rest of his life.

Ever since his attempt to reincarnate the soul of Liberace in a 1980s production that earned him the ‘Fatman’ moniker, he later build an image to fit it. Lindberg used his lifestyle around food enthusiasm to not only access publicity but made it his brand.
He hosted programs on the Danish national TV and had his radio show, Croque Monsieur on Radio24syv where he promoted French cuisine among many themes. The radio/TV host released his cookbook in 2017 to support his lifestyle around food.
He intentionally kicked against weight loss as the ideals of diet in the 1980s. To counter it, he went the route of gaining weight as a silent rebellion and over time and through the consumption of cakes and other fattening foods, he added significant weight.
As part of his image, the considerable weight worked well with his onstage consumption of food and added to his appeal as a not-slim person. Moreso he was a supporter of climate conservation.
The Entertainer Was Married To Herminia Mabunbda For Almost a Decade
The Danish actor and musician are known to have been married to only one spouse throughout his life. Apparently, he and Herminia Mabunda got married on March 29, 2010.
Their marriage was a grand affair at the city hall and witnessed by about 70 guests. At the time of their wedding, the wife of the dead performer and multi-talented artist was 29 years old while he was 44 years old. Nonetheless, it did not hamper their joy. While he later revealed that they would have another celebration in his wife’s native Mozambique for the sake of her over 400 family members, nothing is known about it.
There are varying accounts of how they met yet two stand out. According to one, he met Herminia in 2008 during one of his numerous travels. Yet another account claim that the couple first met at the Roskilde festival in 2009. His wife was at the festival on an invitation because she was a venue manager back home in Mozambique.
Whatever the case, they got married despite their many differences. Notably, his affinity for the African continent and culture had a great impact on him. In like manner, he later adopted his wife’s surname of Mabunde and added it to his name.
Master Fatman Had Five Children
Apart from having experience and working for many years in the media, he was the father of five children. Master Fatman had his first child, William Lindberg from a previous relationship.
His remaining four children were born with his decade-long partner, Herminia. The couple welcomed their oldest daughter Sol in 2011 and followed after with the birth of a son, Vicinus in 2015. Their youngest children who happen to be twins, Heaven and River were born in 2018, shortly before his death the following year.

The news of Fatman’s death on March 26 2019 was quite shocking to many, especially to his fans and followers. Known for his love of living, he sadly passed away due to unrevealed ailments.
The media personality and Danish native who died in Nørrebro was 53 years old at the time of his death.

Despite all the years he worked, Master Fatman never revealed how wealthy he was. Moreso he was known for his simple and nonmaterialistic lifestyle that involved giving to the needy.
Having traveled around the world to countries like Brazil, Mozambique, and France, he saw the condition of life in the Brazilian favelas. He built orphanages in Brazil.
Reportedly, he owned a house in Mozambique with his wife. Yet, his wife revealed how she was struggling to make ends meet after his death because he did not keep anything aside for the family before his death. She revealed how she sold some of his records to buy diapers for the children. This is not surprising as he once revealed that he does not believe in buying apartments for his children but rather gives them good training.
